Key Responsibilities
I/ Quality Assurance Tasks
Quality Management System (QMS)
Maintain and further develop existing internal SOPs for farm/warehouse audits, on- line supervision, inspection, traceability and other related activities, based on customer guidelines and requirements.
Develop and implement a comprehensive QMS to ensure all vendor factories comply with food safety, quality, sanitation, and regulatory standards for all food products.
Review factory food safety management systems and their production documentation to ensure compliance with the customer requirements.
Quality & Food Safety Monitoring
Lead external annual quality audits and follow- up of corrective and preventive actions.
Monitor vendor factories to ensure compliance with required quality and food safety standards.
Evaluate delegation requests by factories to prevent any potential negative impacts on the products.
Proactively identify and recommend improvements for any non- conformities by conducting weekly/monthly walk- through audits, verification and validation activities at the factories and issuing or reviewing CARs.
Unqualified Product Handling
Handle customer complaints/CARs, evaluate issues and provide suitable solutions for out- of- spec products and other quality concerns.
Analyze root causes, coordinate with all vendor factories, and ensure the timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
II/ Operations- related tasks
Production operations management
Develop and deliver clear, effective communication to all suppliers to ensure awareness of QA standards, program updates, and process changes.
Build internal control SOPs for the company to plan, schedule, monitor, and coordinate all production activities at vendor factories, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
Product Development & Sample Evaluation
Evaluate the new products for the company’s upcoming projects.
Coordinate with the vendor factories on R&D to develop new products.
QA & QC Leading roles
Lead/participate in the recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and continuous training for QA and QC staff.
Provide instructions and guidance on new projects, quality initiatives, or process changes.
Finalize the QC working schedule and approve staff leave requests and overtime requests.
Supervise and resolve operational issues within the team to ensure smooth operation.
Overview all the work and daily activities of the QA & QC teams.
Receive, review, and provide suitable solutions regarding QC- related concerns and challenges.
