Job Description
The ideal Purchasing Manager/Supervisor, reported directly to the General Manager, will be responsible for the following activities:
Evaluate order and bid documentation, administer bidding process, research and evaluate vendors/contracts to ensure it is in compliance with government regulations to ensure its performance is aligned with established specifications.
Lead and direct the work of purchasing clerks including hiring, training and supervising. Contract management to include all aspects of seller term.
Review and monitor capital purchases to ensure its compliance with company policies and appropriate referrals.
Response to inquiries from internal and external sources in providing information, direction, and or Special projects and/or other duties as assigned.
Review and maintain good record of purchasing files and records (purchase orders, contracts, etc.) to ensure its compliance with company policies and procedures and ensure the availability documentation
Identify opportunities for cost savings.
Continually improve purchasing methods/processes.
Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
Negotiate or renegotiate and administer contracts with vendors.
The Successful Applicant
Good English or Chinese Mandarin, prioritise Chinese speaking candidates. Only open for Vietnamese citizen.
The preferred candidate has Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Foreign Trade or Economic or related disciplines, combined with at least 5 years experience in Purchasing in the level of Supervisor or higher.
General knowledge of Purchasing Management/ Supply chain Management/ Logistics and trading.
