Position: Purchasing Manager
Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Purchasing Manager to join our team in the lighting and furniture manufacturing industry. This role is responsible for sourcing raw materials, components, and finished goods from suppliers in Vietnam, India, Cambodia, ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and on- time delivery. The ideal candidate has strong negotiation skills, hands- on vendor management experience, and is comfortable working in a dynamic, international supply chain environment.

Work location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Travel: Occasional business trips to India and Cambodia
Report to: CEO
Manage the end- to- end purchasing process: supplier sourcing, price negotiation, PO issuance, delivery tracking, and post- order follow- up
Work closely with overseas suppliers (India, Cambodia) to ensure accurate orders, competitive pricing, and on- time shipments
Conduct supplier evaluations and on- site visits (as needed) to assess production capability, quality standards, and compliance
Collaborate with internal teams (production, QA, warehouse) to align procurement activities with project timelines and business goals
Monitor inventory levels and forecast purchasing needs to avoid overstock or shortages
Handle product packaging specifications and liaise with vendors for packaging compliance and improvements
Maintain supplier database, contracts, price lists, and payment schedules
Coordinate with Finance to ensure accurate invoice processing and payment
Requirements
3–5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in lighting, furniture, or manufacturing industries
Solid knowledge of key product categories (e.g., wood, metal, LED components, glass, etc.) and packaging materials
Experience working with overseas suppliers and understanding of international logistics and Incoterms
Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills
Excellent attention to detail, good with numbers, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with ERP systems is a plus
Fluent in both English and Chinese (Mandarin) – required for communicating with international suppliers and partners
Responsible, reliable, proactive, and able to work independently as well as in a team
