Analyze departmental requirements to determine purchasing needs
Negotiate contracts and service agreements with vendors to obtain the most favorable pricing, delivery, and quality terms
Manage the bidding and request for proposal (RFP) process for major purchases
Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures as well as any relevant regulations
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing vendors and identify new potential suppliers
Monitor inventory levels and initiate purchase orders to maintain appropriate stock levels
Track and analyze purchasing data to identify cost savings opportunities
Collaborate with quality assurance to ensure purchased materials meet necessary specifications
Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities and transactions
Resolve issues or disputes with vendors to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction
Research and evaluate suppliers to identify the best sources for goods and services

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work well under pressure
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Proficient in data analysis and using purchasing management software
1- 2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in a fast- paced environment
Bachelor&039;s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field
Excellent problem- solving and decision- making skills
Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices
