• This role ensures that all projects are delivered on time, on budget, and at the highest quality by coordinating between clients, production teams, and technical departments.
• The Production Manager is both a strategic planner and an operational executor, managing resources, optimizing workflows, and building a strong production culture within the team.
• The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the day- to- day management of 3D and VFX production at BLU.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Management
• Track production KPIs and prepare regular reports for management review. B. Client Communication & Coordination
• Participate in project calls, provide progress updates, and maintain professional communication throughout production.
• Ensure deliverables meet deadlines and client expectations while maintaining production eOiciency.
• Serve as the main production contact for clients, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
• Identify workflow bottlenecks and implement process improvements for productivity and quality.
• Define production timelines, allocate resources, and set milestones across multiple projects.
• Manage feedback loops between clients and artists, ensuring revisions are handled smoothly.
• Understand project requirements and translate them into actionable tasks for the production team.
• Manage the full production pipeline- from client briefing, scheduling, asset creation, and rendering to delivery.
Technical & Quality Oversight
• Have a solid understanding of 3D and VFX production tools (e.g. 3ds Max, Maya, Blender, Unreal Engine, V- Ray, Nuke, Houdini).
• Collaborate with technical leads and supervisors to maintain workflow consistency and technical standards.
• Support problem- solving during production, including technical or pipeline- related issues.
• Ensure all final outputs meet both creative and technical requirements before submission to clients.
Team Management & Training
• Supervise production coordinators, team leads, and artists; ensure all departments align with project goals.
• Conduct regular check- ins with team leads to track progress, workload, and morale.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluation of production team
members.
• Mentor junior staff and help build a growth- oriented, disciplined, and collaborative
production culture.
Strategic Planning
• Develop and refine BLU&039;s internal pipeline documentation and project management processes.
• Work closely with the Head of Production and management team to plan long- term production capacity and resource scaling.
• Contribute to project estimation, bidding, and production planning for new clients.
Qualifications
• Education & Experience
• Proven experience handling international clients and multiple large- scale projects simultaneously.
• Minimum 5- 7 years of experience in 3D or VFX production, including at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
• Bachelor&039;s degree in Animation, Design, Media Production, or related field.
Skills
• Strong communication and negotiation ability with both clients and internal teams.
• Excellent project management, time management, and multitasking skills.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Good problem- solving and conflict- resolution skills.
• Proficient with project tracking tools (ShotGrid, FTrack, Trello, Notion, etc.).
• Strong understanding of 3D/VFX workflow, render pipelines, and file structures.
