MAIN DUTIES:
Customer Service:
• Ensures all associates provide a courteous and professional service at all times.
• Handles guest and associate enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, reporting complaints or problems if no immediate solution can be found, whilst feeding back a prompt follow up.
• Provides the appropriate level of professional, courteous and caring service to other associates (internal customers) and other visitors to the division.
• Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.
Operational:
• Ensures that there is always a minimum of one trainer on duty on the gymnasium floor at all times.
• Reports for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and nametag at all times.
• Responsible for teaching any scheduled exercise classes that have been arranged by the Assistant Manager.
• Teaches aerobic classes to members and guests in accordance with the aerobic schedule.
• Maintains close contact with guests/members and communicates feedback from them regarding the operation of the gymnasium and aerobic room to the Assistant Manager as required.
• Conducts monthly fitness centre activities.
• Works in close coordination with the Recreation Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the Gymnasium and aerobic room.
• Conducts personal training referencing guidelines under Policy and Procedure.
• Conducts fitness evaluation/reassessments for members and guests on a regular basis with regards to the standards required.
• Ensures that members and guests use the gymnasium and aerobic studio wearing the correct attire.
• Responsible for maintenance/safety in gymnasium and supervising exercise programme for members and guests.
• Responsible for the day- to- day operation, maintenance, cleanliness and safety in the gymnasium and aerobic room.
• Conducts a daily check of all exercise equipment in the gymnasium and records the repairs that are necessary as required by policy and procedures.
Personnel:
• Supports the implementing, demonstrating and reinforcing Hyatt’s Values and Culture Characteristics.
Other Duties:
• Reads the hotel&039;s Associate Handbook and have an understanding of and adhere to the hotel&039;s rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to fire, hygiene, health and safety
• Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned
• Exercises responsible behaviour at all times and positively representing the hotel management team and Hyatt International
• Ensures high standards of personal presentation and grooming
• Attends training sessions and meetings as and when required
