Platform Developer

Maintain and build system software, including Operating Systems, drivers, kernel configuration, and build scripts.
VMware SASE Mobile Edge will be the ruggedized hardware version of the existing VMware SASE Edge.
Develop new platform and Linux system features and services for VMware SASE Mobile Edge.
Provide support for LTE and WiFi drivers.
Help maintain and develop system software in Python and C for the SD- WAN platform.
Build and maintain a Linux OS distribution serving as the OS platform for the SD- WAN solution.
Collaborate closely with Engineering QE, Support, and Tech Ops to provide day- to- day operations for the SASE portfolio.
Port OpenWRT and VMware SASE firmware and software to new hardware models.
Conduct code reviews in platform and systems areas, fixing issues with troubleshooting and debuggability.
Perform test automation of relevant functionality using VMware Hapy framework.

Must have

Proficient in Linux Kernel programming in C.
10+ years of experience in Platform Development.
Solid understanding of the board bring- up process and bootloader.
Expertise in Device Drivers, I2C, SPI, PCI protocols.

Nice to have

Exposure to OpenWRT and DPDK.
Strong preference to candidates with a background in Networking.
