Planning Manager

PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:
Spartronics Viet Nam is seeking a Planning Manager who is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive material planning strategy that optimizes inventory levels, reduces waste and obsolescence, and minimizes the risk of supply chain disruptions as well as ensure that the company has the materials and resources needed to fulfill customer orders on time, within budget, and at the desired level of quality to achieve the revenue goals.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Material Planning and Forecasting:

Collaborate with cross- functional teams, including production, procurement, and logistics, to align material plans with overall business objectives.
Develop and implement material planning strategies based on production schedules and forecasts.
Monitor and analyze demand patterns, sales forecasts, and historical data to ensure accurate material requirements.

Inventory Management:

Establish inventory control mechanisms to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing excess or obsolete inventory.
Work closely with suppliers to manage lead times, order quantities, and delivery schedules to ensure uninterrupted supply.
Monitor inventory accuracy, conduct regular audits, and implement corrective actions as needed.

Production Coordination:

Collaborate with production teams to ensure material availability aligns with production schedules.
Coordinate with internal team to resolve any material- related issues or delays.
Implement strategies to improve material flow, minimize production disruptions, and enhance overall operational efficiency.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the material planning function.
Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in material planning and supply chain management.
Analyze and optimize material planning processes, tools, and systems to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Education: Bachelor&039;s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field. A master&039;s degree is a plus.
Experience: 5+ years experience as a Material Planning Manager or a similar role within a PCBA or electronics manufacturing environment.
Others:

Excellent analytical and problem- solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies is beneficial.
Strong knowledge of material planning, inventory management, and supply chain principles.
Proficiency in using ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and other relevant software tools.
Attention to detail and a focus on accuracy to ensure precise material planning.
Strong organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Good at English (speaking, writing, reading & listening).
Effective communication and negotiation skills for collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers.
