* JOB DESCRIPTION

Compile and verify data for weekly reports, ensuring accurate documentation of process performance and quality metrics.
Support root cause analysis and corrective actions (e.g., 8D reports) for coating- related issues, such as defects identified during inspections or audits.
Develop and improve painting and coating processes for automotive components, ensuring consistency, durability, and aesthetic quality.
Implement poka- yoke measures to prevent coating errors and maintain compliance with quality control plans.
Monitor and adjust process parameters, such as paint oven temperatures, to ensure compliance with specifications.
Prepare technical documentation, including process flow diagrams, work instructions, and material specifications, to support production and audits.
Work closely with production teams, quality engineers, and procurement to align coating processes with production schedules and quality goals.
Optimize paint application techniques, including spray, dip, or powder coating, to meet quality standards and reduce waste.

Understanding of visual paint inspection methods.
Industrial automotive paint experience required.
Use of paint quality tools required.
Understanding of industrial conveyors and paint booths required.
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Mechanical/ Chemical Engineering or a related field desired. Equivalent education and experience required.
Understanding of manual spray guns and application required.
Strong knowledge of lean principles and the ability to apply them in order to establish and/or improve processes.
Spray robotics experience preferred.
