Position Overview
This role requires both field execution and strategic coordination: balancing hands- on farm management with long- term planning, reporting, and cross- department collaboration.
The Organic Farm Developer will lead and coordinate the development of Viet Haus’s organic farming network — from identifying new areas and building partnerships with farmers to implementing organic standards and ensuring reliable, high- quality supply for export.
Key Responsibilities
Farm Development & Planning
• Design farm development plans covering crop selection, planting layout, irrigation, and yield forecasts.
• Pilot and scale regenerative and agroforestry- based models aligned with Viet Haus sustainability goals.
• Coordinate with local partners, cooperatives, and government agencies to support project implementation.
• Identify and evaluate suitable regions, farmer groups, and partners for organic production.
Organic Certification & Compliance
• Liaise with certification agencies for annual inspections and audits.
• Implement and maintain compliance with international organic standards (EU, USDA NOP, JAS, etc.).
• Train farmers and field technicians on input management, composting, pest control, and soil regeneration.
• Manage farm- level documentation, internal control systems (ICS), and traceability data.
Farmer Engagement & Capacity Building
• Support in creating incentive schemes that encourage long- term farmer commitment.
• Organize regular training sessions and on- farm demonstrations.
• Build farmer awareness of organic integrity, sustainable practices, and value chain benefits.
• Develop strong relationships with farmer communities and cooperatives.
Production & Supply Coordination
• Apply or support the implementation of digital traceability tools for farm mapping and production tracking.
• Collaborate with Viet Haus procurement, quality, and export teams to align farm outputs with buyer demand.
• Monitor crop progress, yield forecasts, and harvest timelines.
• Ensure proper post- harvest handling and quality control at farm level.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
• Prepare periodic reports on farm development, certification progress, and production status.
• Contribute insights for product innovation, new crop trials, and R&D collaboration.
• Identify challenges, propose solutions, and continuously improve farm management systems.
