Oracle Database Administrator Senior/ Expert

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and optimize our Oracle database infrastructure. This role requires deep expertise in Oracle database administration, performance tuning, high availability configurations, and cloud migrations. You will be responsible for ensuring 24/7 database availability, security, and scalability while supporting business- critical applications and working closely with development teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Database Administration & Operations

Manage, configure, and maintain Oracle 10g, 11g, 12c, 18c, 19c, 21c, and other enterprise Oracle database versons.
Ensure high availability, security, and performance tuning of production and development databases.
Manage database backup and recovery strategies, including RMAN, Data Guard, and Flashback technologies.
Monitor database health, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions to prevent downtime.

Performance Tuning & Optimization

Optimize SQL queries, indexing strategies, and database parameters to improve system performance.
Perform AWR, ASH, and ADDM analysis to diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks.
Implement partitioning, compression, and parallel processing techniques for large datasets.

High Availability & Disaster Recovery

Design and implement Oracle Data Guard (Physical & Logical Standby), Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters), and GoldenGate for high availability and disaster recovery.
Develop and test failover and disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.

Database Automation & Cloud Migration

Optimize storage, networking, and compute resources for on- premises Oracle deployments.
Automate database tasks using PL/SQL, Shell scripting, Python, or Ansible.

Security & Compliance

Implement database security best practices, including TDE (Transparent Data Encryption), auditing, and access control.
Ensure compliance with GDPR, PCI- DSS, and other industry regulations.

Others Role

Document database architecture, configurations, and best practices for internal teams.
Provide technical guidance to developers on database design, data modeling, and query optimization.
Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, and application teams to integrate databases into enterprise environments.

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:

Strong Linux shell scripting, Python, or Ansible skills for automation.
5+ years of hands- on experience in Oracle database administration in enterprise environments (Banks, Telco, Enterprise).
Ready to go with cloud- based Oracle deployments (OCI, AWS RDS, GCP Cloud SQL for Oracle).
Bachelor&039;s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
Having Certifications like Oracle OCP would be a plus
Familiarity with CDC tools (Oracle GoldenGate, Debezium, or similar).
Must have: Strong expertise in Oracle 10g, 11g, 12c, 18c, 19c, 21c, Data Guard, RAC, GoldenGate, RMAN, and performance tuning.
Expertise in database replication, HA configurations, and disaster recovery strategies.
Proficiency in SQL tuning, PL/SQL, partitioning, and ETL processes.
