Operations Automation Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated
Operations Automation Engineer
to join our Data team. The role will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining automation solutions to streamline operational workflows, improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and ensure reliability in our business processes and systems. This individual will work closely with cross- functional teams including Operations, IT, and Data Engineering to identify automation opportunities and deliver scalable solutions.

Collaborate with DevOps/IT to integrate automation into broader system and infrastructure processes
Design, build, and deploy automation solutions using scripting, APIs, RPA tools, and orchestration platforms (e.g., Airflow, UiPath, Power Automate, Power Apps)
Analyze current operational processes and identify areas suitable for automation
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize automated workflows to ensure stability and performance
Develop and maintain automation scripts, integrations, and pipelines to support business- critical operations
Drive continuous improvement by recommending and implementing process optimizations
Ensure security, compliance, and governance standards are met within all automation solutions
Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical automation solutions
Maintain documentation of automation processes, workflows, and best practices

Familiarity with ERP systems and the Microsoft ecosystem (Business Central, Copilot, Power Platform, etc.)
Problem- solving skills with attention to detail and reliability.
Strong communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non- technical teams.
Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, SQL, XML, HTML, CSS, or similar).
Experience with automation tools and frameworks (e.g. Airflow, n8n, UiPath, Selenium, Power Automate).
Hands- on with data warehouse and modern data platform concepts (data pipelines, ETL/ELT, integration patterns)
Hands- on experience with databases (SQL Server, Postgres, RDS, etc.).
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
1+ years of experience in process automation, operations engineering, or related roles.
Strong understanding of APIs, system integrations (e.g. E- commerce platform, TMS, Sellercloud, Shipworks), and workflow orchestration.
Preferred:
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Prior experience in retail or e- commerce operations is a plus.
