OpenStack Engineer

Position Summary
We are seeking an OpenStack Engineer to design, implement, and maintain private cloud infrastructure based on OpenStack. The ideal candidate will have hands- on experience with large- scale OpenStack deployments, strong Linux administration skills, and knowledge of networking, storage, and virtualization technologies.
Key Responsibilities
· Automate cloud operations, including provisioning, scaling, and monitoring.
· Develop operational documentation and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.
· Collaborate with DevOps/SRE teams to implement CI/CD pipelines for cloud services.
· Ensure security hardening, upgrades, and patch management of OpenStack services.
· Deploy, configure, and maintain OpenStack environments (compute, storage, networking, identity, dashboard, etc.).
· Troubleshoot performance, availability, and scalability issues.
· Manage integration with hypervisors (KVM, VMware), storage backends (Ceph, Swift, Cinder), and SDN solutions (Neutron, OVN).

Required Skills

Technical Skills:

· Hands- on OpenStack deployment and operations experience (preferably production- grade).
· Scripting skills (Python, Bash, or Go).
· Experience with networking (Neutron, VLAN/VXLAN, SDN), storage (Cinder, Ceph, Swift), and compute (Nova).
· Strong Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) administration skills.
· Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Heat, Puppet).
· Knowledge of identity and access management (Keystone, LDAP/AD integration).
· Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, ELK, Grafana).

Soft Skills:

· Good communication skills for internal and customer interactions.
· Strong problem- solving skills and ownership mindset.
Ability to document and standardize work

Nice- to- Have

· Kubernetes or OpenShift integration with OpenStack.

· Certifications: COA (Certified OpenStack Administrator), Red Hat OpenStack.

· Knowledge of NFV/Telecom use cases.

· Public cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP).
