Your Role
Over the next 6–12 months, Virtual Internships may explore our next stage of investor fundraising — and we’re looking for a highly motivated, detail- oriented Investor Relations Associate (Intern) to join our team. In this role, you’ll work directly with our CEO and CFO to support investor relations and fundraising initiatives that fuel our next phase of growth.
This is a part- time, stipend- based internship offering hands- on exposure to the worlds of investment, financial analysis, and strategic communication — a unique opportunity to learn how fundraising really happens inside a fast- scaling global startup.
What You’ll Be Doing
As an Investor Relations Associate, you will be responsible for driving efficiency, preparedness, and results across Virtual Internships’ upcoming investor relations by conducting a variety of tasks:
Prospecting
Conduct comprehensive research on firms and funds and build a large pipeline and a detailed outreach plan by prioritizing different investors.
Identify prospective investors in line with our target investor profile.
Identify and prepare for various conferences and networking events.
Pipeline Management
Prepare weekly pipeline and progress reports for the leadership team.
Provide clear next actions and next action dates and deadlines and support the fundraising team to stay on track with these.
Manage and maintain robust data on active conversations, including tracking interactions, last communication dates, and key contacts.
Lead Nurturing, Preparation & Support
Draft follow- up emails and other communications that maintain strong relationships and move deals forward.
Attend investor meetings, take notes and disseminate information.
Assist in the creation of compelling presentations and materials for new and existing investors.
Facilitate the scheduling of meetings with investors, ensuring optimal communication channels.

Your Experience
Previous internship experience in finance, investor relations, or a related area is advantageous.
Undergraduate student or recent graduate in finance, business, economics, or a related field, preferably from top global business schools.
Proficient in G Suite, particularly Sheets and Slides.
Enthusiasm for tech startups.
Familiarity with financial modeling and analysis is a plus.
