POSITION PURPOSE
The Career Services Engagement Officer is responsible for planning and executing career- related events, while developing and implementing creative communication strategies to promote not only activities but also other career services to BUV students. These efforts contribute to enhancing students’ career readiness and professional development. He or she is also responsible to provide an excellent customer service to our students, lecturers, parents and partners at British University Vietnam. The role is subject to change depending on the needs of the University.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Career Events and Activities (20%)
Collect feedback, report outcomes, and propose improvements for future events
Plan, coordinate and execute career- related events, including semesterly industry talks, skill workshops, company tours, recruitment days and the annual BUV Career Fair for BUV students
Collaborate with Career Services & Industry Relations team members, lecturers, internal departments and external event- related vendors to ensure smooth coordination and alignment of the event objectives
Promote Career Services & Events (60%)
Target audience: BUV students
Write and edit clear, engaging content for diverse communication needs, including promotional social media posts, announcement emails, formal documents, event script, etc, in English and Vietnamese.
Develop and implement engaging communication strategies to promote career services and events through social media, emails, and on campus channels.
Wider audience: Public stakeholders including BUV Partners, parents, prospective students and parents.
Design and produce visual content, such as social media posts, event banners, backdrops, digital slides, flyers, etc.
Ensure consistency of branding and tone in all career- related communication materials
Operation & Administration (15%)
Administration: Assist in the administration of the operations of Career Services in charge.
Record & Filling system: Maintain and update the record and filing system of the activities and each student’s Personal & Social Growth record.
Customer Services: Ensure quality customer services & timely responses to a variety of written requests from students and parents for information relating to career services via telephone, correspondence and/or electronic mail
Database: Maintain and improve the database of activities and attendance that enables capturing the university’s activities, student’s development journey and collaborations between the university and industry partners.
Others (5%)
Assist the Student Engagement Department in other areas when the need arises
Participate and support other extra- curricular activities of the department
Undertake any other duties that may be assigned from time to time
Assist the department in preparing periodic reports and newsletter updates for Management and the University
