We are seeking a detail- oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join our finance team in the logistics sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and controlling costs to ensure accurate financial reporting and effective cost management. This role involves close collaboration with operations, procurement, and finance teams to optimize cost efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and relevant regulations.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Prepare and maintain cost allocation reports, variance analyses, and profitability statements.
- Collect, analyze, and report cost data related to logistics operations.
- Conduct cost analysis for new contracts, tenders, and service proposals.
- Support month- end and year- end closing processes related to cost accounting.
- Monitor and review transportation and handling costs to ensure accuracy.
- Coordinate with operations teams to track fuel consumption, equipment maintenance, and other cost drivers.
Recommend cost control measures to improve operational efficiency and profitability.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong knowledge of cost analysis, cost allocation, and financial reporting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Experience in logistics cost structures (transportation, warehousing, import/export).
- Proficiency in Excel, VBA and Power BI is preferred
- Knowledge of international shipping and customs regulations.
- Familiarity with systems used in logistics.
