.NET Backend Lead Azure, MS SQL

The Role
As the .NET Backend Lead, you will architect, design, and deliver robust, scalable, and secure backend solutions for high- impact digital products. You will lead a talented team of backend developers, drive technical excellence, and ensure the seamless integration of modern web technologies and cloud infrastructure. This is a hands- on leadership role requiring both deep technical expertise and strong people management skills.

What you will do

Collaborate closely with frontend developers, UI/UX designers, project managers, and stakeholders to deliver end- to- end solutions.
Lead the team through the full software development lifecycle: requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and recommend adoption where appropriate.
Lead the backend development team in designing, building, and maintaining enterprise- grade applications using .NET technologies.
Identify and resolve technical challenges, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities.
Architect and deliver scalable APIs and backend services for web and mobile platforms, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability.
Ensure best practices in code quality, testing, and documentation through code reviews and mentoring.
Ensure operation and system stability with the ability of performing debugging and root cause analysis within production environment
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, adaptability, and knowledge sharing within the team.
Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of relational databases (MS SQL, Snowflake).
Manage deployments using Azure Cloud services.

You are detail- oriented, proactive in communication, and thrive in a hands- on environment. You lead by example and inspire your team to deliver their best.

Deep expertise in .NET (C, ASP.NET Core), with proven experience architecting and building backend systems.
Hands- on experience integrating APIs and working with modern frontend frameworks (ReactJS, Angular) is highly advantageous.
Strong experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure (designing, deploying, and managing cloud- based solutions).
Proficient in database design, management, and optimization across MS SQL, and experience with Snowflake is a plus.
Excellent problem- solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Demonstrated ability to anticipate project needs and consider the broader business and technical context when designing solutions, prioritizing long- term, sustainable fixes over short- term workarounds.
Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and grow a team of developers.
Solid understanding of software engineering best practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, and agile methodologies.
Working proficiency in communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly explain technical issues and solutions to both internal teams and clients.
Experience working in multicultural and distributed teams is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
8+ years of professional experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership or lead developer role.

Exposure to E- commerce, loyalty programs, or content management systems.
Ability to take ownership of planning and executing backend solutions, and effectively communicate plans to technical and non- technical teams.
Familiarity with big data solutions and cloud- based data warehousing.
Prior experience delivering projects for high- profile clients or large- scale digital platforms.
Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines
Familiarity with integrating backend systems with email marketing platforms
