Mid/Senior Software Engineer 3D

Role Summary

Our projects are highly diverse. You’ll have the opportunity to rotate across teams and work with different technical skill sets, so you won’t be bored solving the same problems every day!
Your primary responsibility will be to work on 3D engineering simulations, integrating 3D graphics and engineering systems data.
Modec, a member of the Mitsui Group, employs over 6,000 individuals from 18 different countries. You will become a member of the Digital and Analytics global team, now with more than 200 team members.
There is also the opportunity to contribute to other areas of our diverse projects, such as enterprise applications, DevOps, and other software initiatives.

Responsibilities

Good understanding of software technology and architecture. Able to communicate trade‐offs and recommend appropriate technological priorities.
Identify dependencies or risks against requirements and suggest solutions to the team.
Participate in development activities including design and code review, software testing and debugging.
Write clean, high‐quality, maintainable code with best development practices.
Contribute to the design of a robust, scalable and secure architecture to support multiple software development initiatives.
Participate in troubleshooting and resolving issues from applications in production.
Coordinate with cross‐functional teams (Product, UI/UX, Data Science, Data Engineering, etc.) to understand product requirements and translate them into technical requirements.

Requirement

More than 5 years of professional software development experience
Completed at least 2 software development life- cycles
Strong in with C, Javascript/Typescript programming. Familiar with ReactJS.
Overall, good experience in 3D application development and knowledge of full- stack & cloud technologies
Willingness to learn, adapt and take on responsibilities to support project development
Worked on any of the following 3D platforms and libraries: Unity3D, three.js, OpenGL, WebGL / WebGPU
Strong analytical and creative problem‐solving skills
Well- versed in working within the agile environment
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
Understanding of 3D mathematics and knowledge of 3D graphics programming
Advantageous to have backend development knowledge with Django, various databases and using Azure cloud infrastructure
Capable of thinking out of the box and excited about trying new solutions, willing to challenge status quo

Nice to have

Knowledge of Autodesk Platform Services, AVEVA Everything3D or other 3D CAD tools will be beneficial.
Familiarity with the Oil and Gas, or AEC (Architecture, Engineering and Construction) industries.
Experience in VR / AR, digital twin, generative AI technologies.
