A Mid- Level Designer must demonstrate the behavioral foundation of a future team leader, even while still operating under supervision.
Ownership & Responsibility
• Begins to anticipate potential issues and propose solutions proactively.
• Takes ownership of assigned areas/packages from start to finish.
• Demonstrates reliability in deadlines, handovers, and coordination tasks.
Communication & Collaboration
• Communicates clearly with teammates, senior staff, and cross- disciplinary consultants.
• Participates actively and respectfully in design discussions; able to justify design decisions.
• Open to feedback and demonstrates steady improvement.
Mentorship & Team Contribution
• Acts with professionalism, maturity, and a positive “can- do” attitude.
• Supports junior designers through basic guidance on standards, detailing, templates, and workflows.
• Contributes ideas to improve internal studio processes (templates, detailing library, coordination checklists).
