Mechanical Engineer

Prepare technical write up, method statement, risk assessment
Liaison with supplier on technical purchases

Coordinate manufacturing engineering activities, new product introduction, quality improvement, process enhancement, cost reduction, failure analysis, engineering evaluation and system improvement.
Manage engineering activities to improve quality, waste, efficiency and cost.
Perform failure analysis, recommend appropriate corrective/preventive actions, and provide technical support in troubleshooting.
Manage activities for new product introduction to insure proper production start- up. Assist in the actual design of new products as necessary and appropriate.
Participate in ad- hoc projects
Provide overall technical support, advice and direction to production groups engaged in the manufacturing and testing.

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Able to work under tight deadlines and with ownership
Positive attitude and ability to communicate well with all levels
Able to think strategically with strong initiatives
Knowledge in ISO9001: 2008 requirement, lean six sigma and 5S will be an added advantage
Good communications and interpersonal skill with strong sense of responsibility
Relevant manufacturing experience and safety knowledge will be an added advantage
Good command of English and computer literate.
