Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

Use Microsoft Excel or other statistical tools proficiently, including advanced functions such as lookup and reference, statistical and engineering analysis, and clearly communicate data and results in a professional manner
Analyze data and draw conclusions
Have a good understanding of the technical aspects of in- house processes relevant to EWI’s products (e.g., injection molding, printing on plastic, wire harnesses, PCB assembly, stamping, plastic coloration, etc.).
Demonstrate strong 2D and 3D drawing skills, including the ability to create 3D models from samples
Set up and complete testing independently
Lead projects independently from concept to production
Work effectively with external suppliers to develop products that meet requirements and are delivered on time
Be familiar with external supplier processes and requirements, with the ability to learn more as needed through independent research and training (e.g., mold making, printing, extrusion, metals and coating)
Perform specific tasks assigned by the BOD and Manager
Propose test cases and relevant test methods
Communicate and discuss findings with customers and colleagues, and take appropriate actions

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering...or other related fields
Demonstrates proven ability to lead projects independently from concept to production. (For internal promotion: must have successfully completed the development of at least four basic products, two advanced products, or a combination of both.)
Good command of English, both written and spoken
Exceeds all requirements of a Level 1 Project Engineer
Has a minimum of 3 years of working experience in a similar field (For internal promotion: at least 2 years of experience as a Level 1 Project Engineer at EWI)
