MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor&039;s degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
2+ years of experience as a Materials Engineer or a similar role, preferably in the furniture manufacturing industry.
Experience with various material testing methods and equipment.
Practical knowledge of CAD software (e.g., Solidworks, AutoCAD) for material analysis and design.
Knowledge of
- Understanding of furniture manufacturing processes and their impact on material selection.
- Familiarity with various material testing standards (ASTM, ISO, etc.).
- Knowledge of different types of materials used in furniture, including wood, paper laminate, PVC Edgeband, hot melt foil, glue and other adhesives, paints, stains, and other finishing materials, metal, plastics, fabrics, foams, and composites.
- Strong understanding of material science principles and their application in furniture design and manufacturing.
