Reporting to Material Flow Shift Manager, the position is accountable for controlling one aspects of Material handling activities including receiving, storage and delivery of all materials required by manufacturing. Support leadership to ensure business objectives are met or exceeded in the areas of safety, people, quality, responsiveness and cost initiatives.
• Control and make plan cycle count to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Ensure that all programs meet the three measures of a successful vehicle launch: on time, excellent quality and meeting and/or exceeding program financial targets.
• Establish excellent procedure, standard task sheet (STS) for all team to ensure clear understanding of business performance goals and objectives.
• Responsible for the execution of specific material handling activity in the most cost effective and efficient methods possible.
• Empower and support teams to improve their work environment and eliminate any constraints.
• Maintain master data of material to ensure material call off system works smoothly.
• Establish people development as a core value to develop future leaders to achieve sustainable and growth.
• Develop business plans which deliver week- on- week performance efficiencies through a Continuous Improvement culture.
• Select, develop and train Material Flow team members to effectively execute operations to achieve business goals and targets.
Degree/ Qualification
• Skills in using software systems, SAP
• College/University Graduated (Prefer University for new recuitment)
• Experienced in the Warehouse and Material Flow setup phase, developing and implementing successful Lean Material Systems and Operational Excellence
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Supply Change Management, Warehousing and Material Handling for complex and high- volume Manufacturing, preferably in the Automotive sector, with a minimum of 2 years in a management position with a team of 50 people or more
• Proficient in English in 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing)
• Able to work independently, work in groups, and work in a high- pressure environment
• Extensive knowledge and experience of Warehouse Management Systems and SAP
• Highly motivated, entrepreneurial and proactive with strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to execute successfully in multinational relationships
• Knowledge and understanding of LEAN Manufacturing systems and operational excellence is an advantage
