Maintenance and Repairs Executive in Hai Phong (Nhân viên giám định Container)

Summary Position: This position responsible for managing and coordinating all activities related to the off- hire and return process of leased containers, particularly old units nearing contract termination. This role ensures containers meet lessor requirements, handles inspections, documentation, and coordinates with depots, shipping lines, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection & Assessment​

Coordinate and oversee physical inspections of off- hire containers.
Assess container condition, including structural integrity, flooring, and fittings.

Cost & Vendor Management

Review and request approve vendor invoices and claims related to container off- hire.
Negotiate with vendors to ensure cost- effective repair and maintenance.
Verify and control repair costs against budget and leasing agreements.

Operations Coordination

Schedule off- hire dates with leasing companies and ensure timely redelivery.
Liaise with depots, vendors, customer and surveyors to ensure containers are made off- hire ready.

Documentation & Compliance

Maintain accurate records of off- hire transactions for audit and reporting.
Prepare and review off- hire documentation including Equipment Interchange Receipt (EIR), inspection reports, and invoices.

Reporting

Provide weekly/monthly status reports on off- hire progress.
Recommend process improvements for efficiency and cost savings
Highlight issues such as damage disputes, cost overruns, or delays to management.

Key Experience & Qualifications

Familiarity with IICL standards, container leasing agreements, and depot repair procedures.
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Maritime Studies, or equivalent.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in container operations, depot management, or shipping line leasing.

Key Competencies & Skills

Capable of writing in English
Attention to detail and problem- solving mindset.
Experience handling old/damaged containers and cost disputes.
Knowledge of shipping line/leasing company practices for off- hire.
Ability to travel to depots/ports for inspections.
Good at MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
