Legal Affairs Staff Cathay United Bank

• Monitor the development of relevant laws and regulations, and in coordination with Compliance, do legal and regulatory update in respect of banking products and services of the bank.
• Review and draft documents relating to various banking and financing transactions, including account opening, loan facility and security documentation, cash management documentation, e- banking, confirmations, service agreements and other transaction- related documentation as assigned by Legal Head.
• Provide general legal and transactional advisory support to various business lines, including corporate banking, global market, etc.
• Participate in formulating and drafting standard legal documentation and related guidelines, policies and procedure notes.
• Provide legal advice and support as required in relation to other general legal matters and other legal projects.
• Work closely with business teams and other functions, provide them with legal assistance in their day- to- day work.
• Manage actual and potential litigation and disputes under supervision of Legal Head

*** Professional requirement:
• Ability to communicate at all levels in the bank as a team player with an ability to work closely and constructively with other team members and colleagues
• Conversant with Vietnamese legal and regulatory requirements on commercial banking procedures
• Redefined interpersonal skills
• Strong knowledge in banking operations as well as banking products and services
*** Education
 Degree holder (university or post- university) in laws (being admitted as an attorney in Vietnam is a plus)
*** Work experience
• Minimum 3 years of post- qualification experience preferably in banking industry
***Language skill
Excellent command of written and spoken English. Mandarin language skills is a plus.
