OVERVIEW OF POSITION:
The Learning & Development Supervisor plays a key support role within the Human Resources Department, reporting directly to the Learning & Development Manager. This position is responsible for the implementation and monitoring of the Company’s training programs and learning initiatives. The Learning & Development Supervisor ensures effective delivery of colleague orientation program, all company training activities, and training logistics to support colleague performance, service quality, and engagement across the organization. This role directly impacts developing the workforce’s skills and capabilities in alignment with the company’s operational standards and strategic goals through Service Quality Assurance. This role will also support Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities and any partner programs with education institutions.
KEY FUNCTIONS:
Training Delivery
Ensure colleagues receive all company training and department training as per their position throughout their colleague journey.
Ensure new hires complete necessary training in a timely manner.
Deliver structured Orientation programs for new colleagues.
Training Coordination
Schedule and set up training events, including booking rooms, preparing materials, and managing invites.
Liaise with trainers and department heads to ensure sessions align with operational needs.
Training Documentation and Records
Review and review training materials
Maintain training databases and ensure all attendance and feedback forms are properly recorded.
Support monthly and annual reporting on training metrics.
Implementing and maintaining company Learning & Development (L&D) Programs
Maintain costs of planned programs within budget
Partner with function leaders/managers to consult on custom learning programs for department specific needs
Identify gaps in existing learning content and work with relevant teams to innovate, create or evaluate the content for continual update.
Utilize various data collections tools and analytics to make improvements and recommend future enhancements for learning solutions.
Maintain compliance to statutory training requirements.
Evaluating L&D Programs Effectiveness
Connect with learners to assess progress and address concerns
Produce monthly training reports and training & activities calendar for HODs.
Assist Departmental Trainers in preparing, conducting departmental training, and assessing accordingly
Monitor enrolment and attendance at training classes and online
Ensure that HODs abide by their responsibilities of colleague training against departmental SOPs
Administering L&D Programs
Observe behaviors of colleagues and provides feedback to individuals and/or managers
Programs, or conduct soft skill Operational Programs, etc.
Coordinate with HODs to prepare and coordinate group training programs such as software programs, Loyalty
Expedite and maintain and follow up the Service Quality Assurance Assessment
Developing & Managing Performance Management
Communicate and cascade the Performance Review to all colleagues.
Implement the Performance Management process.
Provide guidance, support and coaching to management and colleagues, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
Colleague Support and Communication
Assist with internal communication about upcoming training sessions or events.
Address employee inquiries related to training programs.
Support in the implementation of education partner programs/arrangements.
Help organize events and activities that foster corporate social responsibility.

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
Possess a natural passion on training, people orientated, positive and confident
Minimum five years’ experience in Hospitality & Casino operations in a leadership role is required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Dynamic presentational skills
Comfortable with digital tools for virtual training (Zoom, Teams, etc.)
Minimum 2 years’ experience in training coordination, HR, or a related role.
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Experience in Quality Assurance is preferred.
Tertiary qualifications (Business Administration, Human Resources, or related discipline) preferable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Fluency in English.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
Familiarity with HRIS or LMS platforms (preferred)
