IT Tester

Job Summary:
This role requires strong analytical skills, collaboration with developers and functional consultants, and hands- on experience with test automation frameworks.
We are looking for an experienced IT Tester with a solid background in Java testing and a deep understanding of ERP / Production Planning (PP) business processes.You will be responsible for designing, executing, and automating test cases to ensure that enterprise applications — especially ERP production planning workflows — meet functional and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain automated testing scripts using Java + Selenium / TestNG / JUnit.
Execute manual and automated tests for Java- based ERP applications and integrations with related systems.
Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and technical designs of ERP modules (focus on Production Planning)
Design comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, integration, and regression testing
Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and assist end- users in validating scenarios.
Identify, document, and track defects / anomalies using defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM).
Validate data flows, scheduling logic, and capacity planning functions within Production Planning modules.
Collaborate with ERP functional teams, developers, and PMs to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
Contribute to performance testing and optimization of ERP batch jobs and production scheduling engines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Good understanding of SQL for database validation and test data preparation.
English proficiency (reading documentation and reporting defects clearly).
Proven hands- on experience testing Java applications (API, backend logic, and UI).
Strong analytical, problem- solving, and documentation skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering
3–6 years of experience in software testing (functional + automation).
Solid understanding of ERP concepts, preferably in Production Planning (PP) or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
Experience with automation tools: Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or Postman (for API testing).
Familiarity with ERP modules

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

Familiarity with Jenkins, Git, or CI/CD pipelines.
Exposure to manufacturing or logistics environments.
Knowledge of Agile / Scrum testing practices.
