Job Summary:
The IT Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient and secure operation of all hotel technology systems, including property management, point of sale, accounting, telephony, and guest- facing systems. The role ensures compliance with TUI BLUE brand standards, data security requirements, and local regulations, while providing proactive technical support to enhance operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Systems Operations & Maintenance
Oversee, maintain, and troubleshoot all hotel IT systems including:
Property Management System (PMS – Opera Cloud)
Guest Internet access (HSIA), IPTV, key card systems, CCTV, and PABX
Sales & Marketing systems (CRM, channel manager, booking engines)
Point of Sale (POS, Symphony)
Accounting & Procurement systems
Monitor network performance and uptime; coordinate with vendors for system maintenance and support.
Ensure system backups, redundancy, and recovery plans are in place and tested regularly.
Security & Compliance
Conduct regular IT audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance.
Maintain confidentiality and protection of all digital and physical data.
Implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols per TUI BLUE and international standards.
Control user access rights, passwords, and data security policies.
Support & Training
Support the pre- opening team with setup, testing, and go- live of new systems (if applicable).
Provide first- level technical support for all departments.
Conduct user training to improve IT literacy and system efficiency.
Coordination with Corporate & Vendors
Oversee IT- related procurement and inventory, ensuring cost- effective solutions aligned with budget.
Liaise with TUI BLUE Regional / Corporate IT to implement brand- standard systems and upgrades.
Manage vendor relationships for hardware, software, and network service providers.
Project Management
Coordinate installation and testing of new interfaces between hotel systems.
Lead IT aspects of hotel renovation, system upgrades, or technology projects.
Budgeting & Reporting
Maintain accurate asset register and lifecycle plan for IT equipment.
Prepare monthly IT performance reports for management.
Prepare and manage annual IT budget, including licenses, support contracts, and hardware replacement.
