Job Description:
As the Import- Export Manager (Logistics), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless movement of goods in and out of the company. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of import and export operations, with a strong focus on logistics management within a processing zone.
Key Responsibilities:
Vendor and Supplier Relationships: Manage relationships with international suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other partners to negotiate favorable terms and resolve issues.
Logistics Management: Oversee the end- to- end logistics process, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to ensure timely and cost- effective delivery of goods.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks related to import and export activities, including currency fluctuations, trade restrictions, and geopolitical issues.
Supply Chain Optimization: Continuously evaluate and optimize supply chain processes to minimize lead times, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
Cost Control: Develop and manage budgets for import- export operations, monitoring expenses and identifying cost- saving opportunities.
Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records and prepare reports related to import- export activities, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
Team Leadership: Lead a team of import- export professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to achieve departmental objectives.
Customs Clearance: Coordinate and oversee customs clearance processes to prevent delays and ensure smooth customs procedures.
Import and Export Compliance: Stay up- to- date with international trade regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements to ensure full compliance.
Inventory Management: Work closely with the inventory control team to monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring optimal inventory turnover.
