Human Resources Manager Responsibilities
• Creates phased organizational charts with CEO and other senior management to bring in manpower only as required.
• Maintains a pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys; scheduling and conducting job evaluations; preparing pay budgets; monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions; recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
• Interviews candidates with Manager and or CEO and evaluates qualifications, shortlists, discusses compensations packages, generates offer letter and contract.
• Maintains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records.
• Maintains organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; recommending changes.
• Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records.
• Completes Human Resource Policies and Procedures, distributes to all employees and receives sign- off from each employee. Policies and Procedures must be followed and enforced by Managers and Human Resources or disciplinary action will be executed followed by termination if issue continues.
• Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors.
• Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
• KPI’s will be generated with each employee and evaluated on a timely basis to ensure KPI’s are being met or if because of a change in business direction the KPI’s must be adjusted.
• Maintains human resource staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
• In charge of all recruitment through in- house applications, on- line ads, social media, job portals, LinkedIn, referrals from staff and through recruitment companies for high- level positions.
• Completes human resource operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
• Prepares employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs.
• Maintains employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; recommending benefit programs to management; directing the processing of benefit claims; obtaining and evaluating benefit contract bids; awarding benefit contracts.
• Creates transition plan, coaching and training so start- up time is as short as possible.
• Maintains human resource staff as needed by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
