JOB DESCRIPTION
The GMS team of KPMG is a specialist group within the firm that provides advice and support to organizations on managing the mobility of their employees globally as well as meeting employer obligations when employing local employees. This includes helping clients with individual tax, compulsory insurances, payroll, immigration, and compliance issues related to both international assignments and local employment obligations. The team leverages KPMG&039;s global network and expertise to provide a comprehensive and integrated solution to meet the complex needs of clients&039; global mobility programs.
We are seeking a motivated, responsible, and detail- oriented individual to join our GMS team as an Intern. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, and be eager to learn about global mobility and the professional services industry.
Responsibilities:
Assist engagement team to provide excellent and high- quality services to our client, including but not limited to:
Assist in preparing materials for tax/immigration briefings for client meetings.
Interact with the Tax, Immigration and Labor authorities and other relevant authorities in relation to clients’ affairs and service provision.
Assist in preparing immigration applications including visa and work permits.
Research regulations and apply understanding of legislation to client cases under guidance and instruction.
Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
Other ad- hoc duties as required.
Assist in preparing tax returns, payroll calculation and tax advice.
Stay up to date on applicable regulations and best practices in global mobility
Provide administrative support for the engagements.
REQUIREMENTS
Good analytical skills, logical thinking, and enjoy working with numbers as well as writing.
Bachelor’s degree in relevant subjects, e.g., accounting, finance, economics, law (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).
Self- motivated with a high level of initiative.
Good command of English and Vietnamese.
Strong organizational, time management skills, and effective communication skills.
Enthusiastic, demonstrate a “can do” and “teamwork” attitude with an ability to learn quickly.
