Summary Responsibilities:
▪ The Head of Internal Audit will also assist the Plan Owner in all functional and administration matters as needed
▪ The Vietnam Head of Internal Audit is responsible to lead the local audit team to assess internal control environment health and ensure proper audit coverage. Key tasks include conducting risk assessment, audit planning, fieldwork execution, reporting and follow up and validation of audit issues, in order to help business, maximize operational efficiency, balance risks/controls, and comply with company and regulatory requirements.
Principal Responsibilities:
*** Assume the role of Internal Auditor
Develop and maintain internal audit policies and procedures to ensure alignment with MetLife’s requirements and local rules & regulations
Independent assessment of the suitability and compliance with regulations, internal policies, procedures and processes established in BIDV MetLife;
Make recommendations to correct and overcome errors, propose measures to improve the efficiency of systems, processes and regulations, contributing to ensuring BIDV MetLife operate safely, efficiently and in accordance with the law.
Independently and objectively review and evaluate internal control and risk management activities;
Plan and execute audit process & regular checks on business activities to identify control weakness, identify key business implications and recommend remedial actions
Reports:
The results of internal audit must be promptly reported to the Board of Members or General Director of the enterprise.
Produce reports to recommend business actions to maximize business performance & operational efficiency while balancing risks & control.
Partner with line management and work in collaboration with Compliance and Risk functions to ensure all significant business and regulatory risks are anticipated, and appropriately managed

Continuously review and update policies and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and to ensure operation efficiency
Continuously assess the operational risks of the operations and recommend appropriate remedial actions
Develop customer- centric service
*** Ensure that all operations and activities undertaken comply with regulatory requirements, Board of Member and MetLife&039;s direction.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Required:
▪ A university degree or higher in one of the majors in economics, finance, banking, business administration, law, accounting, auditing and have an insurance certificate issued by established insurance training institutions. legally established and operating at home or abroad
▪ Strong audit or risk management experience in Financial services, public accounting, and consulting (preference is insurance) with 8- 12 years of experience
▪ Aptitude to be a self- starter and proactive in managing the Vietnam portfolio including aspects in relation to conducting audits from planning to execution; meeting audit metrics and ensuring conducting audits in accordance with set standards and QA requirements;
▪ Be able to articulate and demonstrate objective independence, finance knowledge and undertake CIA program (if not CIA qualified);
▪ Clear verbal and written skills in English and Vietnamese. Demonstrates ability to write audit issues clearly;
▪ Ability to display maturity and engagement with all levels of management and regulatory bodies. Analytical and problem solving skills;
▪ Have experience at dealing with MOF or other regulatory bodies; (not a must but beneficial)
▪ University degree or higher in insurance majors or
