Ensures opened products are used prior to expiry.
Maintains a clean and fully functionable bar.
Knowledgeable on all Food and Beverage options and can assist as a waiter if needed.
Makes beverages as per recipe and standards.
Suggests and creates new beverage items: wine, cocktails, coffee, smoothie’s juices, etc. And recommends popular or sought- after drinks.
Reduces waste, by monitoring opened goods.
Monitors social media sites and follows bartending and drinking trends.
Conducts daily, weekly and monthly stock checks
Ensures all recipes are correct according to the menu.
Reponsibility
Ensuring the bar team provides outstanding hospitality to guests and co- workers.
Maintain safety and hygiene standards of the bar and all equipment
Ability to use and update POS systems, for ordering, purchases, cost control, new items, beverage cost and general sales.
In- depth knowledge of all beverage offerings and prices.
Responsible for cashier systems, opening & closing.
Ensuring all beverages are followed to standard.
Customer Service
Handles all customer issues and queries in a polite and efficient manner, ensuring problems are resolved properly and within reasonable time frames.
Works with the floor team to advise guests on appropriate beverage choices.
Reports customer issues to the supervisor, Manager / Assistant Manager.
Financial
Becomes familiar with the beverage cost of each item and seeks ways to optimise cost, whilst still delivering a premium product.
Ensures that the restaurant is operated in line with maximising profit while still delivering excellent service.
Assists in the inventory management and ongoing maintenance of equipment and other assets.
Marketing
Actively creates drink specials to correlate with upcoming events or special occasions
Events
Checks daily for events and party bookings.
Creates exciting menus for events
Pre- orders enough stock for large groups / parties.
