The Global Compliance & Regulatory Affairs Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all products manufactured by Jordan Manufacturing Company Inc. meet U.S. and international regulatory requirements, as well as specific compliance standards of large retail customers. Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Compliance & Customer Requirements
Manage compliance requirements for large national retailers & e- tailors (e.g., Walmart, Target, Costco, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Wayfair, Amazon, etc.), and industrial business partners (automotive filtration, geotextile, etc.).
Own onboarding, annual renewals, and ongoing compliance updates with all customers
Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance- related inquiries, audits, and corrective actions
Seek and maintain industry, geographic, and customer- specific compliance manuals, testing protocols, and restricted substance lists and communicate this information cross functionally through the organization.
Regulatory & Product Safety Compliance
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including but not limited to:
Chemical compliance (REACH, CPSIA, Prop 65, PFAS, heavy metals, restricted substances)
Flammability standards (e.g., CA TB 117- 2013)
Labeling requirements (law labels, fiber content, country of origin, care instructions)
Weather resistance & performance standards as required by retailers and internal standards
Monitor regulatory changes (global, USA state and Federal) and proactively assess impact to products and materials
Testing & Certification Management
Coordinate testing failures, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans as needed
Review test reports for accuracy and compliance prior to submission to retail partners
Develop and maintain testing matrices by product category, retailer, and material
Develop, manage and execute third- party testing programs with accredited labs (e.g., Intertek, SGS, Bureau Veritas, UL)
Documentation & Data Management
Maintain complete and audit- ready compliance documentation, including:
Supplier declarations
Test reports
Certificates of compliance
Law label records
Technical data sheets
Ensure accurate and timely submission of documentation through retailer compliance portals
Create internal data repository to be managed and updated on a regular basis
Supplier & Material Compliance
Review and approve material compliance documentation prior to production
Work closely with sourcing team and raw material vendors (fabric mills, fiber suppliers, etc. ) to ensure compliance for relevant customers and consumers.
Partner with sourcing and product development teams during new material onboarding
Internal Collaboration & Training
Support internal and external audits including GRS, ISO, SMETA etc.
Train internal teams on retailer requirements, regulatory standards, and best practices
Partner with Quality, Product Development, Sourcing, and Operations teams to embed compliance early in the product lifecycle
