• Ensures all staff are well groomed and in the correct uniform.
• Maintains safety awareness.
• Supervises staff in routine repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Manages the day to day operation of the Engineering department.
• Maintains staff relations.
• Inspects all work for ensuring it conforms with hotel and government specifications
• Assists with the recruitment and training of engineering staff in accordance with hotel guidelines.
• Liaise with contractors to schedule work required.
• Inspects areas to ensure preventative maintenance is scheduled.
• Follows up on all outstanding work orders.
• Checks employee attendance.
• Conducts Inventory.
• Reviews log book.
• Implements other duties as required and directed by the Chief Engineer
• Prepares the weekly schedule for all staff.
• Ensures all work performed by staff is compliant with codes and regulations.

- Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities
- Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management, Engineering, or related field
- related experience, including supervisory experience
- English speaking & writing skills.
