Frontend Leader/Principal Engineer ReactJS/TypeScript

Lead, mentor, and coach developers on best practices, including coding standards, design patterns, unit testing, and deployment processes.
Perform hands- on coding and conduct code reviews for junior and mid- level developers.
Play a key role in leading and consulting the development team on architecture and technology choices for projects.
Willing to take business trips or work overseas as required.
Understand customer requirements and business context to deliver effective application solutions.
Stay current with the latest trends and technologies in web development.
Carry out other assignments as directed by the Manager.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

Proven experience in building systems from scratch.
Minimum 10 years of experience in software development, with at least 6 years of strong focus on Frontend development.
At least 3 years in a leadership role such as Frontend Technical Leader or Principal Engineer.

Technical Skills:

Experience in creating design and test specifications.
Skilled in reviewing source code and mentoring/managing development teams.
Strong proficiency in modern Frontend technologies: ReactJS, Angular, NextJS, TypeScript, etc.
Solid understanding of cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP.

Methodologies & Processes:

Familiarity with software development life cycles including Waterfall and Agile/Scrum.
Understanding of Japanese outsourcing/offshore development processes.

Communication:

Proficient in English communication.
Basic Japanese is preferable (JLPT N4 level or equivalent).

Soft Skills:

Strong problem- solving abilities and willingness to troubleshoot complex issues.
Adaptability to changing requirements and instructions.
