Director of Sales C&E

The Director of Sales – Conference & Events is responsible for leading the C&E sales team to maximize revenue from meetings, conferences, banquets, and events. This role drives business growth by building strong client relationships, developing innovative event solutions, and implementing effective sales strategies that align with the hotel’s commercial objectives. Working closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing and the Banquet Operations team, this position ensures seamless event execution and exceptional guest experiences that reflect the Holiday Inn brand promise.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or related field.
Professional training or certifications in Event Management, Sales Leadership, or Revenue Optimization are advantageous.

Experience:

Familiarity with IHG systems, event management tools, and brand standards is an advantage.
Proven track record in achieving event revenue targets, developing key client accounts, and driving market share growth.
Strong experience in handling large- scale conferences, weddings, and social events.
Prior experience in an international hotel brand or MICE- focused property is highly preferred.
Minimum 6–8 years of experience in hotel Sales & Events, including at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role managing the C&E segment.

Skills:

Strategic thinker with solid understanding of market trends, competitor landscape, and customer needs.
Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
Highly organized and detail- oriented, ensuring smooth coordination between sales, banquet, and operations teams.
Excellent sales, communication, and negotiation skills, capable of building long- term client relationships.
Creative, proactive, and adaptable in a dynamic and competitive hospitality environment.
Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a results- oriented team.
Proficient in event management software, CRM systems (e.g., Delphi, Opera, IHG Concerto), and Microsoft Office Suite.
