DevOps Lead – Vietnam (Cloud Infrastructure, AWS)

Set up and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog, New Relic)
Collaborate with development teams to support application deployment and performance
Design, implement, and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, and other infrastructure- as- code tools
Automate operational processes wherever possible
Partner with project managers to scope, prioritize, and schedule DevOps tasks and infrastructure projects
Collaborate with the global DevOps Lead to document, map, and improve infrastructure and pipelines
Manage your own time and your team’s time effectively; track and report on accomplishments, challenges, and progress to leadership
Participate in troubleshooting incidents and remediating root causes
Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar)
Harden security and implement compliance best practices across environments
Contribute to documentation of environments, runbooks, and SOPs
Develop assessments, roadmaps, and goals for infrastructure, pipelines, and operations; identify risks and propose improvements, particularly around security and compliance
Lead and mentor DevOps engineers in the Vietnam team, fostering a culture of automation, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Required Qualifications

8+ years of experience in a hands- on DevOps, Site Reliability Engineer, or Cloud Infrastructure role
AWS certification (e.g. Solutions Architect Associate, DevOps Engineer)
Proven ability to assess infrastructure, define goals and roadmaps, and identify risks—especially related to security and best practices
Deep familiarity with AWS services, including EC2, VPC, IAM, ALB, RDS, S3, DocumentDb, Lambda, CloudWatch, and Route53
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non- technical stakeholders
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage both personal and team workload, while consistently reporting progress and challenges to leadership
Comfortable working collaboratively in Git- based workflows
Proficiency with at least one CI/CD system (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline)
Experience with Linux and/or Windows IIS administration and shell scripting
Experience leading or mentoring DevOps engineers, with a track record of building and guiding high- performing teams
Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, especially using Terraform (Terraform Cloud or GitOps a plus)
Working knowledge of container technologies and orchestration (e.g., ECS, EKS, or Fargate)
Demonstrated fluency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience with observability tools such as Datadog, New Relic, or CloudWatch

Experience supporting client- facing environments in a consulting or agency environment
Maniacal curiosity about new technologies, tools, and systems, with a commitment to continuous learning
Experience managing distributed or offshore DevOps teams
Knowledge of serverless technologies and architectures (API Gateway, DynamoDB, etc.)
Enthusiasm about AWS best practices
