DevOps Engineer (Contractor)

This role involves a blend of systems engineering and software development, with the aim to build and run large- scale, distributed, fault- tolerant systems. The DevOps / SRE will ensure that services—both their own and others’—meet certain, defined reliability standards, and will continue to meet them even as they change and scale.
About this opportunity: We are looking for a DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for keeping online services up and running and support the engineering team in setting up new projects. They will apply principles of computer science and engineering to the design and development of our computer systems, particularly large distributed ones.
You will:

Building and running large- scale, distributed, fault- tolerant systems
Collaborating with the developers to improve system design
Monitoring systems and troubleshooting issues
Setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Ensuring that services meet certain, defined reliability standards
Implementing quality gates for deployment
Applying principles of computer science and engineering to the design and development of computer systems
Keeping online services up and running
Managing packaged software and the promotion through the deployment process- dev to staging to prod- in a secure and controlled manner
Utilizing infrastructure as code principles for automating the deployment and scaling of infrastructure components.

At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
Proficiency in technical English (reading, writing, and communication).
Excellent problem- solving skills
Strong knowledge of computer science and engineering principles
Must have experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
Nice to have: experience with web3, Hedera Hashgraph, Ethereum or other blockchain technology
