DevOps Engineer

JOB OVERVIEW• We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, deploying, and maintaining our technology infrastructure while working closely with Development and Operations teams to ensure efficient and reliable application development and deployment processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Implement security best practices and manage credentials securely
• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Automate build, test, and deployment processes
• Support development teams with deployment and troubleshooting
• Monitor application and infrastructure performance
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation
• Set up monitoring and alerting systems (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack)
• Participate in incident response and post- mortem analysis
• Manage containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes
• Build and maintain development, staging, and production environments
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions

Basic Qualifications
• Proficiency in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience with monitoring solutions like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack
• Understanding of DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and network security
• Advanced Linux/Unix systems administration skills
• Working knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
• Minimum 3- 5 years of hands- on experience in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering roles
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Strong hands- on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Domain/required skills and certifications- mandatory
• Strong Git knowledge and experience with branching strategies
• Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or equivalent automation tools
Nice to have
• Knowledge of GitOps workflows (ArgoCD, Flux)
• Languages (Japanese N2 or English B2…)
• Experience with compliance frameworks (SOC2, PCI DSS, ISO 27001)
• Professional certifications
• Experience with observability tools (Jaeger, Zipkin, OpenTelemetry)
• Knowledge of cost optimization strategies for cloud infrastructure
• Experience with chaos engineering tools
• Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd)
• Software development background (Java, Go, Node.js)
• Database administration (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
