Management and Leadership
· Compliance: Supervise and ensure that members of the organization comply with all company regulations and rules regarding quality, safety, health, cyber security and other regulatory requirements.
· Project Management: Manage FA/Debug/rework for sustaining and new products, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget, and that FA/Debug/Rework procedures, work instructions are followed.
· Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs for team members on debug/FA procedures, debug techniques, product specifications and best practices.
· Capacity Planning: Manage debug and rework capacity planning, ensuring that sufficient resources are available to meet testing needs.
· Performance Metrics: Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to debug/rework WIP, efficiency, bone pile, identify areas for improvement, and develop corrective actions.
· Team Leadership: Oversee and mentor a team of Engineers and Technicians, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure their development and performance. Monitor team member turnover, identify key factors that can be improved then make improvements.
Technical Management and Support:
· Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining records of debugging activities, including findings, solutions, and any necessary corrective actions.
· Component and Board Level Debugging: Addressing issues at both the component level (e.g., individual passive and active component – resistor, transistor, ICs, MCU…) and the system level (e.g., entire PCBA functionality).
· Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes: Familiarity with PCBA manufacturing processes, including component placement, soldering, and testing methodologies.
· Other: May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
· Troubleshooting and Debugging: Identifying and resolving functional and electrical issues in PCBA, which may arise during manufacturing or testing.
· Root Cause Analysis: Investigating the underlying causes of problems, often involving analyzing data logs, schematics, and utilizing specialized debugging tools.
· Failure Analysis: Determining the reason for PCBA failures, often involving detailed analysis of failed components or circuit behaviors.
· Use of Debugging Tools: Proficiency in using various testing and debugging tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and specialized software.
Collaboration and Communication:
· Cross- Functional Communication: Collaborate with various teams within the organization, including production, manufacturing engineering, and quality assurance, to ensure effective communication and coordination to resolve issues and improve product quality.
