Job Purpose
By consolidating commercial demand and coordinating closely with factory planners, the role ensures better material forecasting, improved production follow- up, and reliable delivery commitments to customers.
This role serves as the key coordination point between Sales, Business Development, and Factory Planning to ensure accurate forecasting, efficient production alignment, and smooth order execution.
The Commercial Senior Planner is responsible for leading demand planning and order planning processes for the Commercial team.
Key Responsibilities
Demand Planning & Forecast Management
• Analyze demand trends, order patterns, and sales pipelines to improve forecast accuracy.
• Lead the demand planning process by consolidating sales forecasts from Sales and Business Development teams.
• Work closely with factory planners to ensure material readiness and production capacity alignment.
• Translate commercial demand into structured planning inputs for factory planning teams.
Commercial Order Planning
• Identify potential risks in capacity, materials, or lead time and propose mitigation actions.
• Ensure orders are aligned with production plans and committed delivery timelines.
• Oversee order planning flow from order confirmation to production scheduling.
Cross- functional Coordination
• Support Sales teams with planning insights related to lead time, order feasibility, and delivery schedules.
• Act as the key coordination point between Commercial teams (Sales & Business Development) and Factory Planning.
• Align production priorities with commercial commitments and market demand.
Production Monitoring & Order Follow- up
• Ensure timely communication of production progress and delivery updates to commercial teams.
• Monitor production status of key orders and proactively follow up with factory planners when necessary.
• Escalate production risks or delays when required.
Planning Process Improvement
• Propose and implement improvements to enhance planning efficiency and coordination.
• Develop planning tools, reports, and dashboards to support decision- making.
• Identify gaps in current planning workflows between Commercial and Factory teams.
Reporting & Analysis
• Provide planning insights and analysis to support Commercial management in operational and strategic decisions.
• Prepare demand planning reports, order tracking reports, and planning performance dashboards.
Decision Influence & Authority
• Proactively identify potential supply, capacity, or material constraints and recommend planning adjustments to minimize delivery risks.
• Support Sales and Business Development teams with planning inputs for lead time commitments, order feasibility, and delivery strategies.
• Provide planning recommendations to prioritize production orders based on commercial demand, customer importance, and delivery commitments.
• Contribute to planning decisions that impact order scheduling, delivery timelines, and demand allocation.
• Collaborate with Factory Planning to align production priorities with commercial objectives and customer requirements.

Requirements
Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
Education
• Experience working with both commercial teams and production/factory planning teams is strongly preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing or furniture/interior industry is a plus.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, or operations planning.
Skills

• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
• Strong analytical and demand forecasting capabilities
Language
