JOB SUMMARY
Lead improvement projects related to process and continuous improvement in the areas of quality, operations, efficiency, and cost using Lean methodologies and tools.
This position requires strong mindset, continuous improvement orientation and willingness to learn.
Play a lead role in process improvement projects by facilitating groups and teams, managing projects, monitoring for sustainability, presenting results.
The Lean knowledge will be able to be trained.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Facilitate continuous improvement activities with Production head:
- Assist Production head in identifying opportunities for improvement
- Proactively find areas that will have constraints currently or could have constraints in the future
- Creates feedback systems with department members to report results and to create new continuous improvement projects
- Develop visual management tool/ board for production
- Assist Production head in sustaining 6S/ Lean culture
- Work with Production head to identify Lean champion within department
- Facilitate and manage Lean activities, ensure on- time completion and report results
Play a key role in the development of the Lean culture in the company:
- Support IDEA NETWORK program to evaluate ideas and encourage all the people contribute ideas
- Work with training department to develop and deliver Lean training to all levels of the company
- Work with training department to develop system measurements to track participant’s reaction and learning, in order to better manage the educational system
Lead the Lean events and problem solving teams throughout the Production
Maintain continuous personal development:
- Keeps up- to- date on reading material in the CI area
- Share new knowledge with the Team
Control and audit processes to ensure that they are maintained after projects completion
Develop and maintain daily/ weekly Report for all activities and projects that Facilitator is a part of
Complete other assignments and special projects as requested
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
Direct the activities of Continuous Improvement work while fully utilizing the support of all other departments to meet department objectives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
▪ Basic concept of Lean
▪ College or University graduation
Experience
▪ Minimum 2- 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
▪ Project Management Experience
Knowledge of:
▪ DMAIC Principles
▪ LEAN Manufacturing Concepts
▪ Statistical Process Control

Working Conditions
▪ Walk factory floor frequently
▪ This Position involves working in general manufacturing conditions where there are continuously moving parts. These conditions also include working in an area where airborne particles are present, along with continuous moving parts. These conditions also include working in an area with continuous loud noise from the manufacturing processes involved in creating wooden parts to match engineering specification.
▪ Office/manufacturing/training classroom environment
▪ Extensive domestic travel
▪ Flexible and willing to work extended hours when necessary
