Role Summary
Roles & Responsibilities
As an Academic Counselor (Study Aboard) at upGrad, you are a proven sales performer adept in direct to consumer consultative sales, in Vietnam. You are comfortable working with high ticket size products which require understanding of USA/Germany as a country for students and build urgency for the end consumer to apply for university programs as per the intake deadline. You have worked in an extremely competitive sales environment and have been at the top 10 percentile of your team.
Maintain detailed records of interactions and progress using CRM tools.
Engage with prospective learners via phone, email, and messaging platforms.
Understand each learner’s background, goals, and motivations to recommend suitable upGrad Hybrid Study Abroad programs.
Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to deliver smooth coordination between local and international partners.
Provide accurate information about course offerings, university partners, admission requirements, visa processes, and career outcomes.
Act as a mentor and advisor, guiding learners who aspire to gain global education experiences through upGrad’s international pathways.
Carry weekly enrollment, revenue, and collection of targets.
Follow up with leads promptly to maintain a high conversion rate and ensure a seamless enrollment journey.
Own the complete sales closing life cycle for assigned leads from the first contact to post- enrollment follow- up.
Establishing the uniqueness and effectiveness of upGrad’s model of pathway masters.

Skills Required
Experience in tele sales & sales, preferably EdTech.
Sales- driven mindset with the ability to clearly communicate offerings and meet revenue goals.
Strong knowledge of international education systems, visa procedures, and documentation requirements.
Good command of English, both written and spoken.Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and consultative selling skills with empathy for learners.
