Role Overview:
This role ensures that medical governance, clinical excellence, and regulatory compliance are embedded across the organization, while positioning medical capabilities as a strategic driver of scale, reputation, and enterprise value.
The Chief Healthcare Officer, accountable for defining and executing the company’s medical and clinical strategy in alignment with corporate strategy and long- term growth objectives.
Key Accountabilities:
Enterprise Strategy & Executive Leadership
Partner with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team to develop and execute the company’s long- term strategic plan.
Provide medical and strategic input into:
Corporate planning and budgeting
Market expansion and portfolio diversification
M&A, partnerships, and strategic investments (as applicable).
Contribute to sustainable growth, operational scalability, and long- term shareholder value.
Medical Strategy & Governance
Define and oversee the company- wide medical and clinical strategy, ensuring consistency, quality, and scalability across all business units and locations.
Establish and maintain robust medical governance frameworks, including:
Quality assurance and patient safety systems
Clinical policies and SOPs
Ethical standards and professional conduct.
Ensure full compliance with:
Ministry of Health regulations
Applicable international healthcare and laboratory standards (e.g. ISO, CAP, JCI roadmap).
Service Portfolio & Clinical Innovation
Guide medical innovation initiatives that enhance differentiation and competitive positioning.
Provide executive oversight for the development and expansion of the company’s medical and clinical service portfolio.
Ensure services are clinically validated, operationally scalable, and commercially sustainable.
Quality, Compliance & Risk Oversight
Lead interactions with regulators, auditors, and accreditation bodies.
Maintain executive accountability for clinical quality, patient safety, and medical risk management.
Oversee medical incident management, audit outcomes, and continuous improvement programs.
Act as the senior medical authority during critical incidents or regulatory matters.
Stakeholder Management & Representation
Represent the Group as a senior medical and strategic leader with:
Strategic partners (hospitals, insurers, corporates)
Strengthen the Group’s medical reputation and institutional credibility.
Regulatory authorities
Medical associations and key opinion leaders
Investors and Board members, as required.
Leadership, Talent & Organization Development
Lead and develop senior medical leadership and clinical management teams.
Foster a culture of clinical excellence, accountability, and alignment with corporate objectives.
Ensure succession planning, capability building, and leadership continuity within the medical function.
