Chief Accountant

Works with Superior on manpower planning and management needs.
Assures compliance with federal, state, local and corporate policies, regulations and laws.
Prepares work papers and supporting schedules for the annual financial review.
Determines proper handling of financial transactions and approves transactions within designated limits. Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts, cost centers and documents business transactions.
Monitor budget and control expenses with a focus on food, beverage, and labour costs….
Reviews investigates and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
As a Chief Accountant, you’ll assist in all hotel accounting and financial control and ensure all functions are being performed accurately, on a timely basis and according to hotel standards.
Reviews accounts payables and weekly check runs.
Help create the department’s annual budget and the setting of departmental goals.
Assists in control of inventory, credit, and collection, disbursements, deposits and remittances .
Responsible for distributing financial statements and cost center reports.

3 years in hotel accounting or an equivalent combination of education and work- related experience.
Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. CPA preferred.
