Chief Accountant (English required)

JOB PURPOSE:
The Chief Accountant owns all accounting, tax, financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow activities. This role ensures full legal compliance, high- quality financial data, and actionable insights for the Management team, while developing a compact and professional accounting team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounting system & internal control
- Set up, standardize, and maintain accounting workflows and internal controls.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper filing of all accounting records and documents.
Financial reporting & analysis
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements on time and in line with standards.
- Analyze business performance, costs, and margins; provide concrete recommendations.
Budgeting & cash flow management
- Develop the annual budget and monitor performance by department/project.
- Manage and forecast cash flow, ensuring liquidity and efficient capital use.
Tax & compliance
- Handle all company tax obligations (VAT, CIT, PIT, etc.) accurately and on schedule.
- Prepare documentation and work with tax authorities, auditors, and regulators when required.
- Update the business on changes in tax regulations and accounting standards and guide implementation.
Team leadership
- Assign, supervise, and review the work of accounting staff.
- Train, coach, and build a compliance- and performance- oriented accounting team.
Financial advisory & cross- functional collaboration
- Provide financial input to the CEO and Management on investment, expansion, and cost optimization decisions.
- Partner with HR, Sales, Operations, Academic, etc. to design financial processes that support business operations.

OUR REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial or equivalent role.
- Proficient in at least one accounting software and MS Excel.
- Good command of English (around IELTS 6.0; certificate not required).
- Experience in Education or Services is a plus.
- High integrity, discipline, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
- College/University degree in Accounting, Auditing, or related fields.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem- solving skills; high attention to detail.
- Strong ownership mindset and willingness to commit long term.
- Able to work independently under pressure and collaborate across functions.
