The Business Development Executive connects clients with Peterson Solutions&039; key services in sustainability. The role focuses on identifying needs, offering tailored solutions, and driving growth across:
Sustainability Services: ESG strategy, carbon footprint, GHG inventory, and compliance with sustainability directives.
Certification Support: Advisory for certifications in agriculture, aquaculture, food, forestry, textiles, and social compliance.
Sustainable Sourcing: Regenerative agriculture, supply chain sustainability, traceability, social impact, and legal compliance.
Responsibilities
Record all sales activities accurately using CRM tools (e.g., Smartsheet).
Build and maintain a pipeline of prospects using leads, networks, and market insights.
Achieve and exceed sales targets by generating revenue from new and existing medium to large clients.
Generate leads through trade shows, events, and networking activities.
Analyze sales data to support strategy and performance improvements.
Reconnect with and recover inactive or lost customers.
Identify upselling and cross- selling opportunities within the client base.
Conduct regular client meetings to build relationships and secure repeat business.
Requirements:
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships across various stakeholder levels.
Bachelor&039;s degree or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g. Business, Environment, Agriculture, Supply Chain, or related disciplines).
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex service value propositions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; customer- centric mindset is a must.
Minimum 2 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in services related to certification, consulting, or sustainability solutions.
Competency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools; ability to manage data entry and reporting with accuracy.
High level of self- confidence and resilience to support sales efforts and client engagement.
Strong analytical thinking, negotiation, and problem- solving capabilities.
Willingness to travel for client meetings or proiect coordination when required.
