Biomedical Engineer/ Service Engineer for laboratory

Diag is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Biomedical Engineer to join our technical team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing medical equipment essential to delivering high- quality diagnostics and laboratory services.
Key Responsibilities

Contribute to the evaluation and selection of new equipment as the lab expands.
Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in biomedical equipment management.
Ensure all equipment operations comply with applicable safety and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, MOH guidelines).
Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs to ensure equipment reliability and safety.
Collaborate with the lab operations and quality teams to develop and implement maintenance schedules and SOPs.
Train and support laboratory staff on the correct usage and care of medical devices.
Install, test, and commission medical equipment and devices in the laboratory.
Diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement timely corrective actions.
Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including service logs and inventory records.

Requirements

Good organizational and time management skills.
Familiarity with ISO standards and local healthcare regulations.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast- paced environment.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical equipment maintenance, preferably in a clinical lab or hospital setting.
Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and teamwork capabilities.
Solid understanding of biomedical engineering principles and equipment lifecycle management.
Bachelor&039;s degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related technical field.
Hands- on experience with analyzers, centrifuges, refrigerators, pipettes, and other lab diagnostics equipment is a plus.
