** Purpose of this position
A Assistant Manager_Financial Reporting and Tax works for all group financial reports, VAS financial reports, tax matters and finance & accounting system.
A Assistant Manager_Financial Reporting and Tax is responsible for BGPVN and subsidiaries as:
- Creating and evaluating financial reports.
- Key supporter for Finance and Accounting Department Head in system implementation and launching and prepare/maintain company&039;s policies.
- Work all tax matters to comply with regulations.
- To be a Chief Accountant of a project company – solar rooftop (BH Solar).
- Monitoring organisation’s financial statements both separate and consolidation (VAS, IFRS).
*** Duties and Responsibilities
Financial reporting:
- To prepare annual financial statements with assistance and advice from auditors.
- To liaise, plan and prepare for annual audit of consolidated reporting pack and annual financial statements, assisting auditors for completion of audit process.
- To prepare all kinds of group financial report, including financial statements according to VAS, IFRS; and provides accurate and timely financial information to enable effective decision making and support HQ.
- To prepare monthly, quarterly and year- end separate and consolidated report deliverables to the top management in Vietnam and HQ in BKK. Manage the monthly and quarterly accounting close process and procedure, notifying the schedule, preparing, assisting, and checking journals and reconciliations as required.
- To cooperate with other entities to prepare periodic reports or ad- hoc reports for HQ.
- To study, develop, and guide other entities to apply international accounting standards in bookkeeping, preparing and presenting Group financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for HQ and other stakeholders;
- To prepare management report & other ad- hoc task as assigned by direct- line manager.
- To prepare quarterly reporting consolidation packs to parent company within limited timescales.
Tax and other reports:
- Prepare and perform ad- hoc reports/information requested by direct- line manager from time to time.
- To co- ordinate with other teams/departments for preparing tax finalization annually.
- To prepare and submit other statutory reports with State Bank, Statistic Departments….in time.
- To prepare and submit tax declarations and tax payments within timeframe (monthly, quarterly, annually).
- To liaise with tax departments and tax advisors, plan and prepare for tax return (if any), prepare corporation tax return information, corporation tax payments, transfer pricing documentation and other required documentations.
- To identify any tax risk and advise higher level with solutions and actions complying with local, state, and all tax regulations.
Finance and Accounting system:
- Prepare and perform ad- hoc reports/information requested by direct- line manager from time to time for new system implementation.
- To be a key supporter in developing and implementing the financial reporting and accounting system in accordance with Vietnamese regulations and Group policies.
- Prepare training materials and workshops, conduct launch activities for updating/ new implementing reporting system and provide follow up support after implementation.
- Manage accounting system and subsidiary’s reporting system, with support from IT department and third- party support company.
Partnership:
- To provide accounting and tax support as to correct accounting or tax treatment to other departments and subsidiaries.
- Prepare to management the presentations, financial presentations, capital expenditure analysis, acquisition analysis and other projects requested by senior management.
Internal control:
- To ensure good implementation of policies.
- To support other departments to understand company policies.
- To support direct- manager in preparation/design of policies, procedures and process.
Perform other related duties as assigned such as setup new entities, new systems, other ad- hoc required by BOD.
Minimum Education
• Professional accounting qualification with post qualification practical experience
• Accounting certifications (CPA, ACCA) highly preferred.
• University Degree in Auditing, Finance or Accounting.
Professional Experience
• To have advance knowledge of VAS and IFRS accounting standards and Vietnam tax regulations.
• This role, with full of accounting knowledge requires excellent communication and inter- personal communication skills, time- management skills and demonstrated ability to work well with our Group members.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet established deadlines with detail oriented, well organized, self- starter.
Preferred Knowledge
• At least 7 years of working in Finance and Accounting field and working experiences in multi- national environment. Audit Big 4 background highly preferred.
• Have experiences in manufacturing field and familiar with ERP system is an added advantage.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint and ability to learn new system.
